Meaning:
The municipality was established on 1 January 1974 by a merger of four municipalities, located in the valleys of the Pfinz River. The upper half displays the arms of the former rulers, the Margraves of Baden in Berghausen, Kleinsteinbach and Söllingen, represented by the dexter half, and the Bishops of Speyer in Wöschbach, represented by the sinister half. The bridge is symbolising the location near the river and also the connection of the former municipalities.
