Grattersdorf Coat of Arms

Shield Argent a twig Gules with four leaves; mantled Azure, at dexter three crescents addorsed Argent ordered 2:1, at sinister a cross fleury Argent.
Meaning:
The leaves are representing the former independent municipalities of Grattersdorf proper, Nabin, Oberaign andWinsing, which merged on 1 January 1971. The twig is also alluding to the location in the Bavarian Forest. The crescents are taken from the arms of the Lords of Puchberg. Veit of Puchberg built the local church between 1536 and 1539. The cross fleury is reminding on the many clerical local manorial lords. The fleur-de-lis is derived from the arms of the Obermünster Nunnery. The tinctures white and blue are those of the Wittelsbach kin and Bayern.
