Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, in chief an attire Sable in fess, issuant from base a floor chequered of Or and Sable, topped by a tent Argent, containing a bathtub Or with water Azure, and a bathing man Argent.
Liebenzell had been called city since 1388. From 1273 to 1603 it had been the preferred spa of the court of the Margraves of Baden. Seals from 1604, when the city became a part of Württemberg already displayed the current pattern, since 1609 there were also coloured images of the arms, the details often changed. Especially the bathing person was considered to be St. Lioba and thus depicted as a woman. The tinctures where finally fixed in 1914. According to image the shield in flag is a French shield, bigger as usual.
