Achstetten Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, a bend chequered of Gules and Argent, above one ball Argent, benath two balls Argent.
Meaning:
The balls are taken from the arms of the Achstetten branch of the Barons of Freyberg, local rulers from the 14th until the 17th century in Achstetten and Bronnen, furthermore having the right of patronage of the church of Oberholzheim. The Cistercian nuns of the monastery of Gutenzell also owned many estates in the area, symbolised in the arms by the Cistercian bend.
