Täferrot Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, an abased pall wavy, above the martyr St. Afra, dressed Argent and nimbed Or, issuant from a stake Or flamed Gules.
Meaning:
In order to distinguish from namesake municipalities Rot was renamed in 1298 to "Afrenrot", alluding to the local patron saint St. Afra. The arms display the martyrdom of Afra. The pall wavy is symbolising the confluence of Rot and Lein.
