Overview

In the book "Escudos, Banderas e Himnos de Cundinamarca", the flag of Tocaima appears in reverse (gray over yellow).  I confirm the colors with many people of Tocaima, and it is yellow over grey.  This is a mistake in this book. Tocaima is in Alto Magdalena (Upper Magdalena) Province.
Jairo Alonso Méndez Méndez, 12 March 2004

From <www.cundinamarca.gov.co>:
"La bandera de Tocaima está dividida en dos franjas horizontales de igual dimensión cada una.
La parte superior de color gris plomo, que representa los pozos azufrados medicinales que existen en el territorio y los que lo hacen merecedor del nombre de "Ciudad Salud".
La inferior de color amarillo, simboliza la riqueza de su territorio.
Lleva el escudo municipal en el centro."
Felipe Carrillo, 20 November 2004

The flag of Tocaima that appears in this source is WRONG. This flag has been confirmated by me in 2003 with many people of Tocaima, and the colors are YELLOW over GRAY.  Is a sad mistake in the source. About the Coat of Arms, before 2003 this image are knowed without the legends "Tocaima" y "Ciudad Salud de Colombia" and the flag colors.  Tocaima is the unique municipality with blasons granted for the Kingdom of Spain, in the Colonial Era (S. XVI).
