The Flag

From <> , located by Dov Gutterman:
"Made of two horizontal stripes and a triangle, whose meaning is as follows:
The upper white stripe represents peace, which the region of Uraba so much cherishes.
The lower orange stripe represents the wealth of the town and the human warmth of its inhabitants.
The green triangle, on the left and dividing the field into two equal stripes, expresses the hope, the harmony and the fertility of our land."

Comunidad de Paz (Peace Community)

In the Municipality of San José de Apartadó there is an organization representing one of their neighborhoods (veredas, which is the local term fro rural neighborhood) called Comunidad de Paz de San José de Apartadó (Peace Community of San José de Apartadó).
They claim to be peaceful people and demand not to be involved in the ongoing internal armed conflict of the country. The map of their location is seen here.
This organization was established on December 23, 1997.
