Chevronny Gules and Argent overall a pale Sable a corn ear ploughshare and pine tree Or.
Christopher Southworth
On 1 January 2013 Heinrichswil-Winistorf merged with Hersiwil and got the new name Drei Höfe
as well as a new emblem. After 159 years of separation the three communes were again reunited, as they have
been until 1854.
The new emblem adopted the red-white chevrons of Winistorf and the black pale of
former emblems; the pale is covered now with the three symbols corn ear, ploughshare and fir tree,
representing the former communes.
In 1962 the three communes erected a monument commemorating the
soil amelioration which they achieved. It shows the heraldic symbols of the communes; with the
reunification the monument got a new topicality (picture,
source [retrieved]).
