White flag, two blue stripes toward the base, a yellow sun in the upper center.The municipality of Palmas (242,070 inhabitants in 2012; 221,893 ha) is the capital of the Tocantins State. The municipality of Palmas was established on 20 May 1989, short after the establishment of the Tocantins State.
