In Belgium, Traditionalist Catholics use the national flag with a red Sacred Heart in the center of the yellow stripe. The earliest currently recorded appearance was at a joint meeting of French and Belgian Traditionalist Catholics, organized by the NGO named Belgium and Christianity (Belgique et Chrétienté), which took place on 15/16 November 2008. The flag was seen again, among numerous French Traditionalist Catholic flags, in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, Nord department, France at a protest of Christian fundamentalists which took place on 2011-11-24 [source: article in 20 Minutes newspaper website].
It has also been carried by Belgians who have been participating in the Chartres pilgrimage in France (pèlerinage de Chartres, see on Wikipedia), also called the Pilgrimage of Christendom (Pèlerinage de Chrétienté), which takes place every year around the Pentecost, with the start at Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral and the end at Notre-Dame de Chartres cathedral.
Tthe flag presence was recorded at the pilgrimages in 2017 [photo in L'Écho Républicain newspaper], 2024 [photo in La Vie magazine website], 2025 [photo in CathoBel website - report from the 2025 pilgrimage to Chartres] and 2026 [photo in CathoBel website - report from the 2026 pilgrimage to Chartres; photo from the 2026 pilgrimage at Facebook]. In Belgium, it has been carried by the participants of the Foy-Notre-Dame pilgrimage (pèlerinage de Foy-Notre-Dame), which was established in the Namur province in 1994 [photo on Diocese of Namur website]. The shape of the Sacred Heart has varied somewhat through the years, as did the shades of yellow and red, but the ratio was invariably 2:3.

On a less used variant of the flag, the yellow field is much wider than the other two and the size of the Sacred Heart enlarged, while the ratio seems to have remained unchanged. This flag was seen, along with the "default" one, at the Chartres pilgrimage in 2024 [photo in La Vie magazine website].
