The coat of arms pictures the Konjic stone bridge, in white, over river Neretva in blue between green mountains and in the base Lake Boračko in green. Two versions seems to be in use, one with a white background and inscribed name of the municipality in the chief and the other with a gray background and the name in the centre with the year "1382". This is the year when Konjic was first mentioned in written sources, in a diplomatic document of the Republic of Ragusa.

Silver or white
(Argent) represents truth, honesty, peace, innocence and purity, this coat of

Golden or
yellow (Or) represents generosity, raising the state of mind, brilliance and
wealth
ELEMENTS OF THE ARMS:
Crest
A rampant red lion was present
as a crest on the coat of arms of Kosača, who in the Middle Ages ruled
Herzegovina, including Bjelimići. In the coat of arms of the LC Bjelimići, the
red lion of Kosača is inside a brick crown (Veletin), and in its claws it holds
the symbol of Sanković, a nobleman whom Kosača defeated in mutual struggles for
supremacy around the upper course of the Neretva.
Crown
The crown is
depicted in the form of a brick crown, i.e. a fortress with four towers, and it
symbolizes the only fortress in Bjelimići – Veletin, which was owned by the
Kosača, i.e. their lords – the Čemerović princes.
Helmet
As a helmet,
which is a mandatory part of the full coat of arms, a stylized steel closed
helmet was placed.
Mantle
The mantle is green and white (silver),
where the green color symbolizes the untouched nature of Bjelimići, and where
the white (silver) color symbolizes the very root of the name Bjelimići, as well
as the winter snow cloak of Bjelimići.
Shield holders
The bearers of
the shield are deer that symbolize the names of the highest peaks of Visočica,
Veliki and Mali Ljeljen, as well as the name of the northern entrance to
Bjelimići, that is, Jelenača. In addition, they symbolize the large presence of
these noble animals in Bjelimići, and in heraldry they represent one who fights
against others only if he is forced to, just as it was always the case with the
people of Bjelimići.
Shield
The chevron represents a roof, protection
and reward for those who have achieved some worthwhile endeavor, in this coat of
arms the white chevron also symbolizes the snow cover on the Visočica mountain,
and in combination with the green area under the chevron, it symbolizes the
mountain Visočica, which holds most of the villages of Bjelimići in its bosom.
House (with chimney) represents Beg's chimneys (towers), after which the center
of the local community (Odžaci) got its name. The very appearance of the coat of
arms is stylized after the Šurković (Odžaković) tower, which was declared a
historical building, that is, a national monument of Bosnia and Herezegovina.
Two gravestones (more precisely, two stećak's) represent the numerous
gravestones necropolises in Bjelimići, which are either not or have been
declared national monuments, such as the representative necropolis in Dolovi -
Poljice, which was declared a national monument, i.e. a cultural landscape. The
gravestones on the coat of arms are also a symbol of other pre-Ottoman heritage
of Bjelimići.
The three blue wavy lines represent the three largest
watercourses in the area of LC Bjelimići (Neretva, Ljuta, Slatinica), which,
in addition to Visočica and Treskavica, delimit the largest part of this local
community
Heraldic lily represents purity, light, on the coat of arms also a
connection, both with Kotromanići and the medieval Bosnian kingdom, as well as
with the modern republic whose independence was voted precisely under this
symbol.
The sun is a symbol of brightness and glory, on the coat of arms also
of the bright and warm south of Bosnia, that is, the land of Herzegovina.
Pedestal coat of arms
The green pedestal represents nature and the area
of the Bjelimići Municipality, with many daisies that symbolically represent
the villages and settlements in the Bjelimići Municipality.
Motto
The
motto on the ribbon reads: LOCAL COMMUNITY OF BJELIMIĆI
