About the district

The District of General La Madrid (9411 inhabitants in 2022) is located in the south of the Buenos Aires Province, 450 km from Buenos Aires City.

The district is named for General Gregorio Aráoz de La Madrid, an Argentine military officer who distinguished himself in the wars of independence.

Description of the flag

The flag of General La Madrid is white with a maroon LM graphic, under which is written in three lines MUNICIPALIDAD GENERAL (in black) LA MADRID (in maroon) and in a script format below that Capital del Amor in maroon.
