The Archery Foundation was founded in 2013 in Istanbul. They hold various stellar competitions related to important historical dates for the Turkish people such as the conquest of Constantinopolis. But also other significant dates from the Middle Ages when the main weapons were bows and arrows.
The foundation itself was represented at the tournaments through its sports club.

Tarsus Süleyman Şah Air Run competitions organized by Turkey Traditional Turkish Archery Federation were held in Tarsus, Halitağa District. Citizens showed great interest in the competitions in which 130 athletes from 38 provinces participated. The program was attended by Federation President Cengiz Tokgöz and board members, as well as Tarsus Mayor Dr. Haluk Bozdogan also attended.
