Municipal flag of Divača

The flag and emblem of Divača are mentioned in the municipal statutes Statut Občine Divača, adopted on 31 March 1999, and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 39/99.

Stanič & Jakopič [j2s05] write that the symbols were adopted on 3 June 1999.
The flag is prescribed to be vertically hoisted, in proportions 10:3 (4.3 m x 1.3 m), though we may say that the flag is used apparently in various ratios, beside the prescribed one. Even if Stanič & Jakopič give in the text the prescribed proportions, they show the flag in proportions close to 1:2.
The emblem and the flag are produced by using three colours each in four "tints": 100%, 70%, 50% and 30%. The three colours are defined as:
- Red: Pantone 215u or 216c, CMYK 30-100-50-30
- Green: Pantone 3145u or 3155c, CMYK 100-0-35-40
- Grey: Pantone 428u or 429c; CMYK 5-0-0-30

The flag is light grey (50% of the grey shade defined above) with a thin green (70%) stripe along the bottom and the emblem near the bottom with the writing:
OPČINA
DIVAČA
on two lines separated by a thin green line.

The house shown on the emblem of Divača is named Škrateljnova hiža and is a cultural monument from the XVIIth centruy. It is the birth house of the world famous Slovene film actress Ita Rina (Ida Kravanja, 1907-1979), mostly known for the movie Erotikon (Seduction) by Gustav Machat, 1929.
