The Singapore Sports School was established in April 2004 as a specialised
school under the purview of the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and
Sports. The flag is an unequal triband (vertically divided into four parts) with
the central pane being white and flanked by a red hoist and orange fly. The
colours are derived from the school emblem.
The school emblem is charged
centrally on the middle white band of the flag and comprises a depiction of a
pair of wings, red and orange, with a silhouette of a white trophy at the
centre. The school name, which is part of the overall school emblem, appears in
grey text on two lines below the wings.
