The flag of Chegemsky District depicts a maroon field with yellow highlights and a three-branched waterfall, above which sits a golden cup with two wheat heads on a blue field.

From https://geraldika.ru/s/42889:
The flag of the Chegemsky municipal district was developed on the basis of the coat of arms of the Chegemsky municipal district and repeats its symbols, reflecting its historical, geographical, natural and economic features in the language of symbols and allegories.
The mountain is a symbol of stability, immutability and orientation.
The image of a mountain waterfall is a symbol of one of the main attractions of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, located on the territory of the Chegemsky district - Chegemsky waterfalls, as well as a symbol of beautiful and unusual natural places that favor the development of tourism.
The traditional ritual wooden carved bowl of gold (yellow) color, heraldic damask of a characteristic floral ornament symbolizes loyalty to traditions and respect for the national culture, in addition, the bowl, as such, is traditionally a symbol of generosity, hospitality and good wishes.
The ears are a traditional symbol of agriculture, and the ears threaded through the handles of the bowl symbolize solidarity and unity in achieving the goal.
The colors and metals used in the coat of arms complement its symbolism: purple (maroon) color is a symbol of ancient origin, nobility, power, justice and dignity; blue color (azure) - a symbol of honor, nobility, spirituality; yellow color (gold) - a symbol of the sun, the highest value, greatness, prosperity, stability, intelligence; white color (silver) - a symbol of purity, openness, divine wisdom, reconciliation.
