I blått et oppvoksende sølv elghode. In English: Azure a moose head issuant argent.
Approved by the royal resolution of 18 October 1985 after a drawing by Nils Aas.

The municipal regulations on its symbols here prescribe the flag to be in the ratio 3:4 (Sorry Tomislav - you will have to make the drawing 8 pixels shorter.)
The municipality wanted to show its moose herds on the arms, but since Namsos already had a moose head in their arms - Tynset went with the issuant version for differentiation.
