Overview

Siesikai (Ukmerge District) - on a white field a red pale (white-red-white 1-2-1 approximately) with silver centaur aiming with a golden bow to his own tail. Flag proportions 5:6, free edges bordered with a narrow golden stripe, finial is a golden tip and golden bands. The charge comes from the arms of the ducal Daumantas-Siesickis house. Siesikai was the home of those local dukes till the early 17th century. The centaur is the arms of a few ancient noble houses of Lithuania, and it originates most likely from the Byzantine-Russian culture, which had some influence in Lithuanian culture before choosing the Catholic baptism in 1386.
