I've seen on ARTE TV (French-German TV), Kurdish demonstrations in Germany and in Strasbourg, both with lots of
people waving an unknown Kurdish flag that I couldn't find in Flags of the World. The flag is green with
a yellow sun in the center and a red sign that I didn't recognize. Does anyone know what it is?

I believe that this flag bears in the center the red letters PDK (at less this is what I see on
reports from Catalan TV) and must be the flag of Partiya Demokrat a Kurdistan Bakur (North Kurdistan Democratic Party),
the Turkish wing of the KDP. See the

I have a photo of another flag, unidentified (but Kurdish, probably from Turkey). Behind
the yellow sun (with fewer rays and a bit small) is a light blue disk, and all is in the center
of the flag instead of in the canton.
