Located in Kita-Kyushu City Fukuoka Prefecture and established in 1950. The embroidered ceremonial flag has white background with a gold emblem and vertical writing black kanji university name in gold fringe. The university flag has purple background with a white symbol mark. (Source) The university emblem is stylized kanji “大學“=university. The symbol mark is kanji word "大學" in the Pacific Ocean. It was made as a student badge by students around 1950, when the school was promoted to a university, with the wish to become a warrior who contributes peacefully to human society with a pioneer spirit and to make a great leap forward into the world.
