Located in Koto City Tokyo and established in 1965.
The embroidered ceremonial flag has navy blue background with a silver and gold emblem in gold fringe.
The university flag has navy blue background with a white bo tree flower mark and white kanji and English university name written horizontally.
The university emblem is a design of the word "大學" on a bo tree leaf. Musashino University was founded in 1924 by Dr. Junjiro Takakusu, a world-renowned Buddhist scholar and Order of Culture recipient, with the ideal of "human education through Buddhist principles". The university belongs to the Honganji sect of Jodo Shinshu (Nishi Honganji), and its school emblem is based on the leaf design of the bo tree.
