Located in Izumi City Osaka Prefecture and established in 1959. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark red background with a gold and silver emblem and horizontally written gold English university name in gold fringe. The university flag has navy blue background with a dark red and white emblem and white English university name written horizontally. The university emblem is designed after St. Andrew, one of the first disciples of Jesus Christ. The "Andrew's Cross" (St. Andrew's X-shaped cross) is a symbol of the great life of Andrew, who was martyred for defending the teachings of Jesus. SEQUIMINI ME" (Latin for "follow me") are the words to which André was called when he met Jesus, and thus the university emblem indicates that it will live by the Christian spirit of "freedom and love" to the end, as André did.
