Located in Hiroshima City Hiroshima Prefecture and established in 1998. The embroidered ceremonial flag has navy blue background with a gold, silver and red emblem and vertical writing gold kanji university name in gold fringe. The university flag has white background with a red and blue emblem. The earth is placed in the center of the design of the university emblem, expressing the internationality of Hiroshima International University, which creates world peace. The surrounding "HIROSHIMA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY," the university's name in English, as well as the Chinese character大 for "university" at the top, broadly expresses the fact that it is the emblem of Hiroshima International University.
