Located in Nagoya City Aichi Prefecture and established in 1956. The embroidered ceremonial flag has purple background with a gold emblem in gold fringe. The university flag has red, white and blue vertical three stripes with a red symbol mark in the center. (Source) The university emblem is a design of the Chinese characters 中京大學. Adopted around 1957. The symbol mark is a combination of the "ume (plum)petal," which gives an impression of Umemura Gakuen School Corporation, the governing body of Chukyo University, and the initial "C" of CHUKYO.
