Located in Sagamihara City Kanagawa Prefecture and established in 1950. The embroidered ceremonial flag has purple background with a gold emblem in the center and gold fringe. The university flag has light purple background with a white emblem in the center and horizontally written white kanji university name. (Source) It is well known that the letters in the center of the emblems and badges of universities have long been a combination of the initials of AZABU VETERINARY, which has long been used by the Alumni Association as the emblem of its members. The university changed its name to Azabu University, and the alumni association changed its name as well. After some discussion on what to do with the central mark used on badges, etc., it was found that "U and V were used almost without distinction in the old days," and it was decided to keep the same mark for the time being and interpret V as a synonym for U in UNIVERSITY.

There is a variant where the purple formal flag is used outside of the main campus; the fringe is removed and the name of the university is written in white along the hoist.
