Symbols of Noalejo

The Municipality of Noalejo in the Province of Jaen, Andalucia, has its own symbols, but the date of their adoption is not known.

  • Coat of arms:

Description: Parti per fess Azure two swords in bend and bend sinister Argent hilted Or then per pale Gules a tower triple-towered of the Third windows and port of the First masoned Sable then Argent a lion rampant of the Fourth crowned Or overall a key in pale (ward to the sinister) of this Last ensigned by a Spanish royal crown Proper"
Meaning: The second and third quarters are the arms of the Kingdom of Castile and León. The key, in particular, reminds us that many municipalities in Jaén bear it as a symbol of their role as guardians of the Kingdom of Jaén against the Nasrids.

Valentin Poposki & Christopher Southworth, 12 February 2026

  • Flag:

Description: Rectangular flag with two equal horizontal stripes, light blue on top and white on the bottom. In the middle municipal coat of arms is superimposed.
Note: Images in Simbolos de Jaén website are not correct. The shield should be of Spanish style, and the flag should have the arms on it: photo (2019), photo (2024).
