The municipality of La Hinojosa (195 inhabitants in 2018; 4,211 ha) is located 70 km south-west of Cuenca.

The flag of La Hinojosa is prescribed by an Order issued on 21 May 1997
by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 6 June 1997 in
the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 26, pp. 3,135-3,136 (text).
The flag is described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3, composed of five vertical stripes in proportions 4/15, 1/15, 1/3, 1/15 and 4/15, the outer stripes, yellow, the inner, green, and the central white with a red tower.
The coat of arms of La Hinojosa is prescribed by an Order issued on 21
May 1997 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 6 June
1997 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 26, p. 3,135 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Gules a tower argent, 2a. Argent a funnel vert, 2b. Vert a garb of three wheat spikes or. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
The Royal Academy of History found the proposed arms, which were
designed from scratch, "acceptable", but proposed to simplify them by
dropping the "unnecessary" quarter featuring the wheat spikes. The
charge is extremely common to represent grain cultivation, is of no help
to identify the municipality, and complicate the design with prejudice
to the visual balance. The Academy proposed to use "Per pale, 1. Gules a
tower argent, 2. Argent a branch of funnel vert. The shield surmounted
by a Spanish Royal crown." The Academy also pointed out that the funnel
was misrepresented.
The Academy rejected the proposed flag, which features the tower
from the coat of arms in a different color. As recalled "many times",
the Academy insisted that heraldic charges used on a flag should not
differ from those used on the matching coat of arms.
