The municipality of Gabaldón (183 inhabitants in 2018; 8,410 ha) is located 60 km south of Cuenca.

Symbols of Gabaldón

The flag of Gabaldón is prescribed by an Order issued on 29 January 2003 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 10 February 2003 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 17, p. 1,921 (text).
The flag is described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3, red with a white triangle running from the hoist to the fly's midpoint, itself charged with a red triangle running from the hoist to 1/3.

The coat of arms of Gabaldón is prescribed by an Order issued on 29 January 2003 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 10 February 2003 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 17, p. 1,921 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Or a rooster sable a mantel gules. The shield surmounted by a Spanish Royal crown.

The Royal Academy of History rejected the proposed flag, which features the rooster from the "definitively approved" coat of arms, but in different colors; it is clearly "unacceptable" that the very same heraldic charge is represented in two different ways. The Academy suggested, as a "a simple solution", to drop the rooster from the flag.
