Overview

The coat of arms and flag of Kose Municipality was approved on February 27, 2014 The coat of arms and flag was designed by Mart Lankotsi. The flag is a square cloth divided diagonally by a wavy line into blue and white sections, featuring a white rose window and three blue coniferous plants. The ratio of the flag's width to its length is 1:1, with a standard size of 105x105 cm.

The coat of arms and flag of Kose Municipality was approved on February 27, 2014 The coat of arms and flag was designed by Mart Lankotsi. The shield of CoA , divided diagonally by a wavy line into blue and silver sections, features a silver rose window and three blue coniferous plants. The blue color code is Pantone 285C.

Adopted 7 Feb. 1997. Ratio: 1:1. Kose is a rural municipality (vald) in Harju County (maakond).

Blue connects the municipalities of Kose parish. Silver refers to mentality, to coat of arms of Harjumaa, to archeological findings. Waves refer to the name of municipality (Estonian kosk means waterfall). Rose-window symbolizes church of Kose.

However, that is an old flag that is no longer in use because the municipality merged with the neighboring Kõue in late 2013. The result was the retention of the name Kose for the municipality and the adoption of a new flag.
