Overview

The parish of (San Andrés de) Canoa is part of San Vicente canton (Manabí province). Canoa appears to be a main spot of sports (surf, paragliding) and ecotourism (birdwatching.

The Flag

The flag of Canoa is vertically divided into three equal stripes. The two outer stripes are blue, while the central stripe is divided white-yellow by the ascending diagonal.
Blue represents the Pacific Ocean, a source of income for Canoa, and the noble ideals of the inhabitants.
White is a symbol of peace. Yellow represents the resources obtained through the creative work of the inhabitants.
