Murg Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent a fir Vert on a base of the same, at sinister Or a demi-cogwheel Sable.
Meaning:
Murg proper, Hänner, Niederhof and Oberhof belonged to the Murg district of the Counts of Hauenstein. The district was acquired in 1806 by Baden. The fir is taken from the arms of the Counts of Hauenstein. The cogwheel is symbolising the local industries, as hammer mills existed in the area since the Medieval. The flag colours are those of Baden-Württemberg.
