Meaning:
The church tower is a canting element and a representation of that one of the local parish church dedicated to St. Martin. The rose was part of the family arms of the Mautner kin (extincted 1525), the Schwarzenstein kin (extincted 1617) and the Taufkirchen kin. The upper sinister quarter displays the arms of the Counts of Taufkirchen in Englburg, who had been manorial lords and owners of the cognisance between the 17th and 19th century. Silver and blue are the tinctures of the Wittelbach kin, local rulers since the 14th century, silver and red are those of the Bishopric of Passau.
