Dischingen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules a key Or in pale, at sinister Or three knives in fess ordered per pale.
Meaning:
The seal of the village mayor from 1930, based on an older pattern from 1820, displayed a badger under an initial "D". The badger was taken from the family arms of the Princes of Thurn and Taxis, whose summer residence is located near Dischingen. As no colours had been fixed for this seal, the arms had been replaced. The knives are taken from the personal arms of Melchior Tischinger from 1465. According to source the key has no proper meaning.

Banner and arms were approved by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg on 9 February 1957.
