Megesheim Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules a crozier issuant Argent, at sinister Argent parted by a cross patty Sable.
Meaning:
Until the 18th century most estates were owned by the following rulers: the Chapter of Eichstätt, the Princes of Oettingen, the Teutonic Order and the Margraves of Ansbach. The crozier is taken from the arms of the Bishopric of Eichstätt. Bishop Otto of Eichstätt (1182 - 1196) sanctified the local parish church. The sinister half displays the arms of the Teutonic Order and is also referring to a monument in the village.
