Pegnitz Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above parted per pale; at dexter Argent a demi-eagle Gules couped per pale, armed and tongued Or with cloverstem Or; at sinister quartered of Argent and Sable; beneath Azure a fish Or over waves Argent.
Meaning:
The first seals with prints since 1360 displayed the double queued Bohemian lion. Since the 15th century the seals are related to the rule of the Burgraves of Nürnberg, first in a quartered shield two quarters displaying the lion of Bohemia and the others the quarterd shield of the Zollern kin. The demi-eagle of Brandenburg appeared since the 17th century. Fish and waves are not mentioned in source. They probably refer to the namesake river and riches of fish.
