The house on the flag of La Heutte is a glass-works (in German Glashütte,
but in French verrerie). It is quite peculiar to see that the flag is canting in
German and not in French; has it been enforced by some German-speaking heraldist?
Pascal Gross, 26 January 2002
One may doubt if a francophone community would not reverse a decision made by a
German-speaking heraldist that they once had been "enforced" to.
Beyond that: "Hütte" (hut) can also be translated with the
French "la hutte", which may have connotations to a factory, as in German. Ed.
