About the Flag of Nova Santa Bárbara

The flag of the municipality is a blue-white-blue vertical triband with the name, tiger emblem and the coat of arms of Nova Santa Bárbara on the center. Blue is the color of the sky, white the symbol of the peaceful and hardworking nature of the inhabitants. The municipal coat of arms includes wheat, cotton, a tiger, a star, and a tower. The tiger was chosen as the municipal emblem for its beauty, intelligence, power, and speed. Also, the municipality is on the banks of the Rio do Tigre (Tiger River). The qualities of the tiger represent the spirit of the people of the municipality: strong, combative, honest, and patriotic. The star symbolizes Nova Santa Bárbara shining together with the other municipalities of the region and its rise as part of a new force in the development of the state. The tower (mural crown) above the shield represents Nova Santa Bárbara and the other municipalities of the Tibagi Valley.
