Municipality of Charata is located in the Department of Chacabuco.

"On this special date and to give recognition to those who were the promoters of Charata waving a cloth that reflects the Charata identity, they presented this emblem today, July 9, 2019, during the central event.

This was within the framework of the provisions of Ordinance 2696/2013 that makes official the flag chosen in a public contest in 2003 as the identity pennant of Charata, designed by Milton Rojas, then a second-year student at the School of Commerce. Starting today, by order of Mayor Maria Luisa Chomiak, this ceremonial flag will be present in every public event held in our city.

This morning on Independence Day, for the first time, the official flag of the city of Charata was present in an official ceremony carried by its creator Milton Rojas, being escorted by students of the 2019 class of the EES No. 23 Jose Chudnovsky . Said ceremonial flag was materialized as a work of art on canvas by Mr. Dante Montenegro, municipal employee.

The banner that represents the Pearl of the West was received with fervent applause, with joy and pride from the Charatense community. This ceremonial flag symbolizes the arch of Avenida de Los Agricultores, the Charata, the bird that gave its name to our town and the main products that Mother Earth offers us within an arch of azure sky."
