King Sabata Dalindyebo District Municipality is located in the Eastern Cape Province (in what was formerly the Transkei) of South Africa and is one of seven municipalities which form the Oliver Tambo District Municipality. The municipal headquarters are located in Mthatha, the capital of the former Transkei Homeland.

The municipality is named after King Sabata Dalindyebo, a ruler of the Thembu clan.  He was arrested by the Transkei authorities in 1979 and later went into exile to Zambia where he later died in 1986. His remains were repatriated to South Africa in 1989.

The flag of the King Sabata Dalindyebo Local Municipality has blue field, with a horizontal gradient from lighter (upper part) shade of blue to a darker shade  (lower part).  In the centre is the municipal emblem with the name of the municipality below.

There are also photos showing the municipal emblem in the centre of a flag with a beige background, and the name of the municipality in a arc above the emblem, as can be seen here and here.
