Description

The American Automobile Association (AAA) is a non-profit member service federation of auto clubs across North America, founded in 1902 and headquartered in Heathrow, Florida. Individual clubs – such as AAA Mid-Atlantic, AAA South, AAA Hawaii, or AAA MountainWest – provide services to their members, ranging from roadside assistance to travel planning to hotel and restaurant discounts. (A list of AAA clubs can be found on Wikipedia at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Automobile_Association#List_of_AAA_regional_clubs.)

Local AAA offices sometimes fly a AAA corporate flag in addition to the American flag. The corporate flag features the AAA logo displayed on a white field. The logo consists of the company's acronym (AAA) in large red letters within the red outline of an oval. Slightly off-center and at a diagonal from upper right to lower left is a blue oval outline broken at the lower right. The logo is usually centered on the flag using the geometrical center of the lopsided logo, which places the bulk of the logo's mass in the flag's first (upper hoist) quarter, thereby giving the flag a slightly lopsided look as well.

I have seen other examples where the logo is smaller and centered using the "center of mass" of the logo, giving the flag a more "balanced" appearance.
