Coat of arms

hield Or, a cork oak eradicated Vert peeled Purpure, in chief the cross fleury Vert of the Order of Avis at dexter and a millwheel Sable rigged Azure at sinister. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank)and white scroll reading in black initials "ALDEIA VELHA" (meaning: the old village).
