About the SAZ

The self-administered zone (SAZ) is an administrative subdivision in Myanmar (Burma). Wiki has a map and descriptions, there are five self-administered zones and one self-administered division. These SAZs are described and named as part of Chapter II, Article 56 of the 2008 Burmese Constitution; Danu Self-Administered Zone (Shan State) Kokang Self-Administered Zone (Shan State) Naga Self-Administered Zone (Sagaing Region) Pa'O Self-Administered Zone (Shan State) Pa Laung Self-Administered Zone (Shan State) Wa Self-Administered Division (Shan State).

Danu SAZ

The main flag used in the Danu SAZ is that of the Danu people, that was adopted in 2017. The meaning of the flag (Burmese only) can be seen here and it was one of five flags that were voted upon.

The main flag used in the Pa'O SAZ is that of the Pa-O National Organization. It is of note that the PNO governed the SAZ until 2021.
