About the flag

The village of Plop (1,353 inhabitants in 2014) is located 15 km north-east of Dondușeni (the district capital) and 220 km north-west of Chișinău (the national capital).

The flag and arms of Plop are prescribed by Presidential Decree No. 712 issued on 7 May 2018 and published on 18 May 2018 in the Moldovan official gazette, No. 157-166, Article 312.

Article 1.
The coat of arms and flag of the village of Plop, as approved by Decision No. 5/5 issued on 16 June 2017 by the Village Council, shall be registered into the General Armorial of the Republic of Moldova.

Appendix 1. Coat of arms
Vert, an aspen (Populus tremula) eradicated or cantoned in chief by two fountains superimposed with the shield of arms of the Stamati family: Per fess azure a six-rays star argent and gules a bee or. The shield surmounted by a village crown.

Appendix 2. Flag
A square green canvas charged in the center with a yellow uprooted aspen superimposed with the shield of arms of the Stamati family: Per fess azure a six-rays star argent and gules a bee or.
