About the flag

The village of Caracui (2,316 inhabitants in 2014) is located 25 km south of Hîncești (the district capital) and 60 km south-west of Chișinău (the national capital).

The flag and arms of Caracui are prescribed by Presidential Decree No. 890 issued on 21 September 2018 and published on 28 September 2018 in the Moldovan official gazette, No. 366-376, Article 607.

Article 1.
The coat of arms and flag of the village of Caracui, as approved by Decision No. 9.10 issued on 22 August 2018 by the Village Council, shall be registered into the General Armorial of the Republic of Moldova.

Appendix 1. Coat of arms
Or, two pheasants (Phasianus colchicus) proper facing each other, standing on a shield of arms of the Balş family (Gules, a seven-rays star argent). A chief gules an oxen's head or. The shield surmounted by a village crown.

Appendix 2. Flag
A square yellow canvas charged in the center with two pheasants proper facing each other standing on the shield of arms of the Balş family (Gules, a seven-rays star argent).
