Eggingen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent a bend wavy Azure, at sinister Gules a bear rampant Or.
Meaning:
On 1 December 1971 Untereggingen and Obereggingen (lower and upper settlement) merged. The arms are a combination of those of both predecessors, both being adopted in 1907. The dexter half displays the arms of Untereggingen, symbolising the location on the banks of Wutach River. The bear is representing Obereggingen as an attribute of St. Gall, patron saint of the local parish church, which had been established by the monks of St. Gallen Abbey.
