Shield Gules an attire Argent.
Meaning:
The municipal arms had been the family arms of the Lords of Sachsenkam, who had been reeves of the Benedictine Tegernsee Abbey since 1060. They had been first mentioned in 1020 and the existence of Joachim of Sachsenkam, the last member of the kin, was proven in 1509. The family arms were known from seals from the 14th and 15th century.
