Teisnach Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a fess wavy Argent chapé Or, at dexter a sinister demi cogwheel Azure, at sinister an eradicated fir Vert trunked Maron.
Meaning:
The fir is symbolising the location in the Bavarian Forest. The fess wavy is symbolising the confluence of the Regen River and the name giving little Teisnach River. The fir is also referring to forestry and timber industry as most important business lines in the past. The cogwheel is symbolising industry. In Teisnach is a factory for the production of speciality papers since 1881 and for the production of electronic instruments and anylysers since 1970. Teisnach gained the status of a market town in 1971. The tinctures blue and white are those of Bayern.
