Coat of Arms

Shield parted elevated per fess embowed undy; above Argent in sinister chief a Patriarchal cross Gules, beneath Azure, issuant from base a mount Gules, crowned by an oak Argent, over all a bendlet of five pieces of Gules and Argent.
Meaning:
The cross is taken from the arms of Hersfeld Abbey. The bendlet might allude to a former tollgate.
