Postbauer-Heng Coat of Arms

Shield Argent charged with a cross patty Sable charged with a cross fleury Or, base Azure.
Meaning:
The cross patty is the heraldic symbol of the Teutonic Order, to which Postbauer belonged until 180, ruled by the order's commandery in Nürnberg. The cross fleury actually is made by four sceptres fleury from the order's Grandmaster Franz Ludwig von der Pfalz (1694-1732). The tinctures blue and white are those of the Wittelsbach kin and alluding to the fact that the region was part of the Upper Paltinate (Oberpfalz). They are also referring to the Bridgettine Gnadenberg Nunnery and the Cistercian Seligenporten Nunnery, which played an important role in local history. Postbauer-Heng was upgraded to a market town on 17 Septmeber 2005.
