Berg Coat of Arms

Shield parted per bend sinister; above right an embattled wall Or masoned Sable; beneath left Sable a lion rampant issuant Or, crowned, armed and tongued Gules.
Meaning:
The embattled wall, in German blasoned as "a wall Or masoned Sable under a chief embattled Sable", is taken from the arms of the local Voit kin, which had privileges between the 15th and 17th century. The lion issuant is a differentiation of the arms of the Palatine Counts of Rhine, as Berg had been the seat of a ducal district (German: Amt) until 1388.
